“I am writing today to give you my commitment to see SPO through this current crisis. When we emerge, and we will emerge, there will certainly be changes, but our goal stays the same: to enrich lives through great opera performances, collaboration, education, and outreach. We are getting even more creative to bring performances to you in ways that address all our concerns for health and safety.”

No one can discuss, illustrate and illuminate the wonderful world of opera with more finesse (and more fun) than St. Pete Opera’s own Maestro Mark Sforzini. For 10 years, his Maestro Series has been the gateway to enjoyment for thousands of Bay Area opera fans, from the newly-won to the veteran aficionado. Prior to each of our Mainstage productions, join Maestro – and several of the professional singers who’ll perform at the big show – for an educational, entertaining and mainly musical overview of the opera – including the composer’s own thoughts on the songs and the storyline. You’ll never hear (or see) opera the same way again!
